Life Skills for Teens
Life Skills – Age 11
- Replace fuse; know where circuit breakers are
- Clean and straighten garage
- Bake muffins and biscuits
- Make a green salad and dressing
- Do simple mending and sew on buttons
- Wash the car
- Learn basic electrical repairs
- Know a variety of knots
- Understand basics of camera use
- Be a helper in a church ministry (ie., nursery, Sunday School)
Life Skills – Age 12 to 15
- Take a babysitting course through the local hospital
- Make deposits and withdrawals at the bank
- Volunteer at the library or food bank
- Perform basic first aid and CPR
- Time Management (should be able to manage an entire day of activities/assignments)
- Check and fill all car fluids
- Type with proficiency
- Money Management: Budgeting basics, Charitable Giving, Spending Plan, Saving for a car, Saving Money, Emergency Fund
- Have a work experience (paid or unpaid) with responsibilities and set hours.
Life Skills – Age 16 to 18
- Plan well-balanced meals, including shopping and cooking
- Pass a driver’s test
- Write checks and balance a checkbook
- Fill out a job application
- Make one complete meal (nothing gourmet, just make sure they can feed themselves)
- Money Management: Budget / Cash Flow, Debit cards vs. Credit Cards, Fraud Protection, Teaching Investing
- Prepare a resume

🟢 A few things people can do to help prevent suicide are 1 they should teach little children from birth to NOT be afraid of disfigured people and how the word Monster can cause excruciating emotional pain and discomfort 2 they should not have websites that promote suicide I wish parents would teach little children from birth not to be afraid of disfigured people and how sometimes the word Monster cause more excruciating emotional pain then The F word or C word ever could naw I could not imagine the incredibly excruciating pain of being disfigured so I am counting my blessings. Now the topic on disfigured people disfigured people go threw hell on earth. Every day they feel “is it even worth Getting out bed today because people will just look at me like a defect and children will call me monster like they always do then run and hide. I feel like it would be better for everyone if I just killed myself. I’d be doing everyone a kindness if I killed my self. If I just kill myself little children would not have to be afraid anymore and people won’t have to look at me as a defect anymore.
