Background:
When I was in 2nd grade, my teacher published this book with me. The cover was made with some sweet 1970’s pink and green wallpaper and the pages were sewn inside.
When I started teaching, I published books with classes of children too. They are an amazing keepsake and a treasure for parents. I think one reason I like them so much is that they are small and compact. These awesome books can go on your bookshelf too!
I figure, if the one I made 30 years ago is still around and if a mom can still pull out her son’s second grade book when he’s a senior in high school – they must be worth it! (this really did happen)

Rising 3rd Grader – Took him through the basic writing process: brainstorm, draft, edit, publish. |
Rising Kindergartner – He dictated his story for the draft. For the final copy, I wrote the words and left blanks for him to go back and write basic words: to, with, love, play, is, my |
