Rainbow Jello

A salute to the 1970’s! I remember my grandmother making this for my family when we would come into town.  One year (pre-kids) I thought I’d make it as a surprise for my family.  Little did I know how long it would take!  I stayed up until 3:00 a.m. making it and it didn’t even turn out right!  Have you made Rainbow Jello before?  Remember, I only share food recipes that are possible to make!

This year, I dedided to get my kids in on the action and START EARLY!  It can take up to 5 hours to complete all of the layers.

From This……

If you read the directions wrong (like I did) and buy raspberry jello instead of grape — it looks like Christmas Jell-o!  Perfect to have with your Christmas dinner after you eat the Blueberry Overnight French Toast bake for breakfast.

Our layers from the bottom to top:  lemon, lime, orange, strawberry, raspberry.  Sour cream layers in between.  The sour cream tastes sweet.  We used the recipe from Cooks.com here.

Yes, stuffed animals are welcome to join in on the fun.  Yum, yum!  Remember:  If I can make it, so can you.  Enjoy your Rainbow Jello.
