Coke and Mentos Experiment
I love a good printable, but my husband really doesn’t care…. so I just hand-wrote the little note. Simple, easy, fun…. building memories!
How To Do The Mentos And Coke Experiment
Soda Exploding Supplies:
– Mentos Candy
– Diet Coke (new, full) bottle
Tip: We use Diet Coke because it doesn’t have the sugar = less of a sticky mess!
Directions:
I’ve seen people thread a piece of clear thread through the Mentos, so it’s more of a prank or surprise. We were doing this together and just dropped the Mentos in and ran.
The first soda “explosion” was the best, but we tried a few more to get the rest of the soda out.
We’ve had fun with this in two separate locations, one in the grass and one in the hard clay. I think the best one (less mess), was in the grass.

Yes we were! We also bought the movie Wreck-It Ralph and watched it this morning with Dad. Then afterwards we went out back and did the mentos and coke! The kids loved it because the movie had the mento and coke explosion, so they had fun doing it!
