Minions are all the rage this year!  One child was a Minion for Halloween and now the other one is busy crafting Minion Christmas Ornaments.

No strict directions here, just photo inspiration and general guidance.

It is amazing how creative children can be when we introduce them to a broad goal and give them the tools to accomplish the task. Encourage your children to help you think outside the box to create fun minion accessories like guitars, fruit hats, bananas and bull horns.

Have fun re-watching minion clips for inspiration.

We love Fimo or Sculpey.  Our Minion ornaments were made out of the oven bake clay, available at craft stores.

Don’t forget to buy purple clay too if your kids love the evil minions.

A Merry Minion Ornament

  1.  First, choose which minion you are going to make: one eyed, two eyed, tall, short, bald, etc.
  2.  Next get your clay and start creating.
  3. Use half of a paper clip to make the ornament hook, just insert it before baking.

Expert clay tip: Start with the palest main color and end with the darkest accent colors to ensure minimal color mixing.

Other Options:  Add a Santa hat or make mini ones for necklace charms.
